LINCOLNLAND EXCHANGE CLUBS
FOUNDATION FOR YOUTH
The Lincolnland Exchange Clubs Foundation for Youth is a charitable foundation organized for the purpose of funding and enhancing the Youth of the Year and Accepting the Challenge of Excellence (A.C.E.) awards presented annually at the Lincolnland District convention. The foundation has received 501(c) (3) status from the Internal Revenue Service and is eligible to receive tax-deductible contributions as permitted under the Internal Revenue Code. In lieu of a dues increase, each club in the Lincolnland District has been requested to consider an annual voluntary contribution to the Foundation equal to $2 per local club member. Such contributions can be paid annually, or, at the Club’s request, be paid quarterly along with the Club’s district dues.
Current fund-raising activities include a Penny-a-Pin pledge at the District bowling tournament, an annual auction at the District convention and various 50/50 drawings throughout the year. Watch future issues of the Link newsletter for news and announcements regarding recognition of giving, contributors and elections to the Foundation’s board of directors.
