Lincolnland Club and District Leaders,

This edition of "Around Lincolnland" features recent events at the Exchange Club of Quad Cities.  For more information on these events, please contact Quad Cities Club President Tom Conrad at tconrad1341@yahoo.com.

Mid-winter brings some exciting and fun activities for our Quad Cities Club.  It begins with our Christmas Party and Auction.  We not only enjoy the company of our members and their families but also of our invited guests and prospective members.  Besides a great dinner, we get a chance to raise money for our activities through an auction of donated items.  Our next fundraising activity is to partner with Playcrafters, our local theater group.  We sell tickets to their production and receive a share of the revenue, and we host a cocktail hour before the production which gives us a chance to mix with our members, guests, and hopefully some prospective members as well.  We'll follow-up these two events with a Trivia Night contest and raffle in which we partner with the Child Abuse Council of the Quad Cities.  The contest gives us a great opportunity to have a fun time, but it's also a great way to raise funds for both our club and the Child Abuse Council.  It's another chance for us to get both our club's message and that of the Child Abuse Council out to the public.

Our club has been successful because of the involvement of our members, and these events are some of the activities of which they can avail themselves to keep our club active and viable in the community.

Thanks for all you do in the Spirit of Exchange.
