In the fall, the Joliet Exchange Club held our annual Spaghetti Dinner.  Almost all of our membership turned out in some fashion to volunteer and support this fundraiser.  Thanks to our chairs, Nancy and Al Nowacki, the lunch and dinner ran like clockwork, and it was one of our most successful events!

The Holiday Season was busy for the Joliet Exchange Club as our members participated in the Annual Christmas Parade in Downtown Joliet.  Our members were also out in force ringing bells for the Salvation Army, and our annual Christmas Gift "Exchange" proved to be another entertaining event!

Several long-standing members of our club (over 60 years!), along with some newer members, were involved in the filming of a video entitled "History of the Joliet Exchange Club".  The video will be shown on local cable television and distributed to our local historical society and the National Exchange Club.  It details the creation of the Exchange Club of Joliet and the history of our fundraisers and key members along the years.

In January, our club distributed $15,000 in donations to 11 local charities!  We also began a partnership with the Joliet Park District to install a Freedom Shrine at Joliet Memorial Stadium, which is where we have historically distributed flags every 4th of July.  A rather fitting tribute!

Our club's upcoming events include our annual Police Officer of the Year Program on February 23rd at Al's Steakhouse and our Youth of the Year and ROTC Awards.
