Lincolnland Officers, Division Directors, and Committee Chairs,

Attached is a Schedule of Events for our Lincolnland District Convention on June 10th - 13th at the Naperville Holiday Inn Select.  We're looking forward to having a great convention.

Please review the schedule and note when you'll be called on for a report, presentation, or remarks.  If you are not able to attend, please notify me, and e-mail me a brief report on your division or committee.  I'll still leave your name, however, on the official program.  If you are an Award Chair but cannot attend, please recommend a substitute presenter. 

For Division Director and Committee Chair Reports, please keep your reports during the Friday Opening General Session to no more than one minute.  As we've done in our board meetings, focus on one or two successes and/or improvement opportunities.  To keep things moving, I plan to ask you to stand and give your report from the floor instead of from the podium.

National Representative, Region 3 Vice President, District President, District President-Elect, Guest Speaker, and Memorial Service remarks will be made from the podium.  I have asked Floyd Culver to speak on Friday for 10 to 15 minutes on National Exchange Issues and Katie Smith to speak on Saturday for 10 to 15 minutes on Region 3 and other issues.

For District Award Chairs, your presentations will also be made from the podium.  For the All American Volunteer, Best Club Bulletin, DSA , CSA, Rookie of the Year, and Exchangite of the Year Awards, I'd like you to recognize the "Honorable Mentions' (certificates will be prepared) before announcing the winner.  We will also have Honorable Mention certificates made for the ACE and Youth of the Year Award nominees (to be mailed out with a special letter), and I'd like the presenters to recognize all the clubs who submitted a youth nominee.

If you have any comments or questions on the Schedule of Events, please let me know by Tuesday, June 1st.  Our convention program will be printed this week.

For District Board members, please send me information (such as the treasurer's report) this week for our Friday morning, June 11th, board meeting.  I'll send out an agenda, minutes, and board information next weekend.  For Division Directors, I believe you already submitted your 4th report (due May 15th) for our May 1st board meeting, so let's just plan on very brief verbal reports at the June 11th meeting.
