Lincolnland Club and District Leaders,

This edition of "Around Lincolnland" features the Exchange Club of Bolingbrook.  For more information, please contact Past District President Bill Strahanoski at bill@wjscpa.net.

The Exchange Club of Bolingbrook was chartered on July 7th, 2005, and was the host of the 2008 Lincolnland District Convention.  The club is very active in the community and has earned Exchange's National Service Award.  Bolingbrook participates in many National Exchange programs, including honoring Police Officer of the Year, Firefighter of the Year, and Book of Golden Deeds recipients.  Each fall, the club hands out thousands of American Flags during the Bolingbrook and Romeoville Community Parades.  Club activities during the past year include volunteering in the Bingo Tent at the Bolingbrook Village Picnic, co-hosting the "Business After Hours" event with Citizens Financial Bank, collecting toys for local children, selling 3D glasses for the Bolingbrook 4th of July fireworks display, running an Oktoberfest fundraiser, providing a donation to the CarStar Partnership which works with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and participating in Believe in the Blue.  The Bolingbrook Exchange Club also conducted a very successful drive for coats (over 700 collected), boots, hats, and scarves for area school children in conjunction with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and local Brownie troops.

We'll see you this weekend at the Lincolnland District Convention, and thanks for all you do in the Spirit of Exchange.
