Lake County Exchange Clubs will host the annual "One Nation Under God" Prayer Breakfast from 7:00 to 8:30 AM on Tuesday, November 24th, at the Village Church of Gurnee located at 1319 Hunt Club Road. The event's featured speaker will be Rear Admiral Mack Gaston, USN (ret.), who had a distinguished military career for 31 years in the U. S. Navy, culminating in his position as Base Commander of the Naval Training Base at Great Lakes, IL. The entire community is welcome to attend this free event.
The annual "One Nation Under God " Prayer Breakfast has become a long standing tradition to welcome the holiday season as well as to honor the military men and women who have served and currently serve our country. This community-wide event draws Exchange Club members from the Lake County Clubs, including The Breakfast Exchange Club of Gurnee, The Exchange Club of Grayslake, The Gurnee Noon Exchange Club, The North Chicago Exchange Club, and The Round Lake Area Exchange Club. Volunteers from each club are working to make this year's breakfast a joyous and meaningful event for all.
In addition to the featured presentation by Rear Admiral Mack Gaston, the Warren Singers from Warren Township High School will perform. Other program highlights include Welcoming Remarks by Dick Welton, President of the Gurnee Noon Club; Presentation of Colors by representatives from the Gurnee Police and Fire Departments; Recognition of Veterans; Invocation by Pastor Todd Habegger, Senior Pastor at Village Church of Gurnee; and Benediction by Pastor Stan Olsen, Executive Pastor at Village Church of Gurnee.
