Lincolnland Club and District Leaders,
Since Christmas and New Years are just around the corner, I thought you might like to know how our clubs celebrate the season. This edition of "Around Lincolnland" features the Champaign and Urbana Inter-Club Christmas Party. This information comes from The Champaign Exchanger, which is edited by Champaign President Tom Williams (tw1812@aol.com).
The Exchange Clubs of Champaign and Urbana will have their Annual Inter-Club Christmas Party on Wednesday, December 9th, at the Champaign Country Club. Chairperson Anne Johnston has completed the party arrangements, which include a turkey dinner with Caesar salad and peppermint ice cream. The celebration will start at 6:00 PM with a social hour and music provided by pianist Ernie Hoffmann. Dinner begins at 6:45 PM and is followed by a Christmas Sing-a-long. At 8:00 PM, attendees will be entertained by Caitlin Caruso Dobbs, a wonderful young singer who is a student at St. Thomas More High School. Caitlin will perform a medley of Andrew Lloyd Weber's music followed by a few Christmas Carols. The entertainment will be followed at 8:30 PM by the presentation of the "Exchangite of the Year" Awards from the Champaign and Urbana Clubs. During their holiday celebration, the clubs will collect cash donations for the Eastern Illinois Food Bank.
Happy Holidays, and thanks for all you do in the Spirit of Exchange.
